To celebrate its 11th anniversary in Hong Kong, Lawry’s The Prime Rib is introducing a meticulously curated Anniversary Savory Journey Set Dinner with six specialty sauces inspired by the six cities and countries where Lawry’s have presences to open your eyes to a new way of enjoying its renowned Roasted Prime Rib of Beef. Lawry’s sommelier has also designed a series of internationally-themed cocktails which bring both visual and gustatory enjoyment.
The spectacular array of scrumptious sauces in this new set dinner menu draws inspiration from the six Lawry’s world-wide locations: the United States, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan. Using ingredients and recipes that capture the very essence of the local culinary scene, the sauces are tailored to pair and accentuates the beefy goodness of the 10oz USDA Roasted Prime Rib - Lawry Cut. These savory creations include the traditional Lawry’s Beef au jus and the new anniversary recipes of Black Pepper Sauce, Wasabi Soy Sauce, Korean-style Red Chili Sauce, Singapore-style Curry and Taiwanese Sesame Soy Sauce.
Six cocktails inspired by the six Lawry’s locations, for Hong Kong and Japan, they are Victoria Harbour with dragon fruit (dragon, being the symbol of Hong Kong) and Fuji with Japanese grapefruit juice. Their refreshing fruit notes are best enjoyed with appetizers. Gimlet representing the United States is made from American gin and elderflower syrup offering a distinct floral taste. Singapore Sling No.11 is a reinterpretation of the original formula and embodies a rich tropical fruity flavor. And lastly for Korea and Taiwan are Blossom and Formosa which marry perfectly with the entrées as they are tangy and complex on the liquors.
Apart from the above, the anniversary set dinner also include a gourmet appetizer, Seafood Trio (Oyster with Salmon Roe and Lemon Vodka Foam, Scallop with Black Truffle Salt and Lemon Zest and Shrimp with Mango Salsa). For a splendid ending to Lawry’s 11th birthday, the fluffy Blueberry Hotcake would be second to none. Inspired by the trendy soufflé pancakes, the hotcake is incredibly airy and soft, perfect to end the night after a satisfying meal of prime rib.
